The New York University College of Dentistry is now using surgical robots to allow students to learn how robotic technology can improve clinical practice. The robotic technology is used on adult patients for dental implant therapy. The surgical robot, known as the Neocis Guidance System, enhances patient care due to its precision during the surgical process. The special software helps to preoperatively plan treatment and will also provide visual and physical intraoperative guidance throughout the procedure to ensure optimal outcomes.
