A Kiss On February 14th

Hershey Kisses are a popular candy this month.  They were first introduced over 100 years ago in 1907.  The chocolate candy was most likely named a “kiss” because of the sound and motion made by the machine while being deposited during the manufacturing process.  At first the Hershey’s Kiss was wrapped by hand, but in 1921 a machine was made to automatically wrap the candy.  Enjoy your “kiss,” but be sure to brush your teeth afterwards!
